Help for weekly webcam images

Our live webcam in Kissamos, Crete, captures a fresh image every 60 seconds. Every hour between dawn and dusk, we save an image for that hour. This page gives you two methods of viewing these hourly images:

• Individually
View a particular image for an hour/day, by clicking on a thumbnail. The full size image will be displayed, which you can close by clicking on the full size image.

• "Navigate the matrix"
Once you have enlarged a particular image, you will notice a set of buttons at the top right. Using these, you can navigate around the matrix of images shown on the page, without having to click on each one individually. The buttons work as follows:

 moves you to the same day, previous hour
 moves you to the same day, next hour
 moves you to the previous day, same hour
 moves you to the same day, next hour
 closes the full size image

• Certain buttons will disappear when you are on the edges of the matrix, preventing you from going outside it.

• If an image is not available for a particular day/hour, you will see a grey image instead.

• The length of day varies throught the year. If there were no images during a certain hour all week, that hour is omitted to save space.

Tips
• The page may take a little while to download the first time you use it, but afterwards your browser cache should store thumbnails previously viewed: only the latest thumbnails will have to be downloaded.

• The page is updated every daylight hour.
