Our first villa purchase fell through due to building irregularities, because a large well known international company failed to check its builder's planning permission.

We found Crete Complete Property when searching the internet for another villa and from the first email they were very helpful. We visited them early this year, and after meeting Stuart and Haroula at their offices, we had absolute confidence in the professional approach and agreed from this one visit to purchase a villa through them.

We used a Crete lawyer who is very thorough and lets nothing irregular get past her - it was she who found the problems with our first failed attempt - and this time she found no problems at all. She has had a building surveyor check to see if the villa meets European standards, and it meets all the requirements.

Haroula was extremely helpful when discussing our requirements and translating them to the builder. The staff at Crete Complete Property have kept us up to date on the progress of the villa, have even emailed us pictures, and have promised to send more.

My first impression (which is always completely wrong) was that Stuart was by far the most chaotic man I've ever met, only to discover that behind this seeming chaos was someone who can play 3D chess, sing the Lumberjack Song, write an article about construction in earthquake areas, explain string theory, recite the name of every horse on Crete and sell the Acropolis at the same time. He also showed us our dream property.

In CCP we found a serious real estate agent who guided us through an adventure which you tend to start either too optimistically, or on the other hand too pessimistically. The good thing about them is that they not only point out possibilities but also the impossibilities. Crucial when you are walking in unknown territory. It was difficult to find a firm and reliable tree in the jungle of real estate agents growing in Crete nowadays, but here was one who actually delivered the fruits that were promised.
