No new building permits

No construction of any kind is to be permitted in parts of eastern Attica destroyed by wildfires until all proceedings have been completed to officially declare these areas as listed for reforestation, a process scheduled for mid-December. A bill tabled by Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Tina Birbili on November 18 halts all new building permits, prevents the execution of those already issued but not carried out, and halts all construction at no matter what stage.
